Wooden doors
We recommend a mortice deadlock (a Chubb lock) and a rim night latch (a Yale lock) for wooden doors. These British Standard (BS3621) locks meet insurance requirements and provide enhanced security for your peace of mind. There is a misconception that the locks on wooden doors are inferior to, say, uPVC doors. If the door is solid and not rotting through- you will not beat a BS mortice lock for security. uPVC or composite doors
These doors have a multipoint locking mechanism and a compatible Euro cylinder. For insurance, the multipoint locks must have multiple locking points to follow most insurance policy requirements.
